Epic Games is updating its popular battle royale game Fortnite and is currently rolling out patch 13.30, which is why players won't be able to join matches for some time as the devs prepare the game.
Server Downtime for Fortnite
As with past updates, Fortnite will be down for around three hours or so, either less or more than that. Players could follow the game's alternate Twitter account, @FortniteStatus, to see updates on whether the game is back online.
Once it's back, players can easily log in and download the latest patch for bug fixes and some new content.
The game also has a public Trello community board wherein players could check out the official patch notes of patch 13.30, including what issues they have fixed and what issues are yet to be resolved.
Fans could also submit bugs and glitches to the board so the developers could fix them on the next update.
Speaking of updates, what does Fortnite patch 13.30 include?
What Does Patch 13.30 Bring to the Game?
According to EveningStandard, dataminers have found some information before the update is available for everyone, and they always share what they discovered online.
Among them is prominent Fortnite leaker @iFireMonkey, who shared on Twitter several changes that will come with patch 13.30, including Summer Splash LTM, which will include new limited-time modes such as One Shot!, Payback! And Catch!
The leaker also said that a new set of co-op challenges would be added, meaning they can only be completed as a group, along with the final Build-a-Brella challenge.
The water that flooded the map will also continue to recede, showing more of the familiar landscapes from the past season and possibly new locations or additions to the map, such as an old fan favorite: vending machines.
Dataminers also believe cars will soon be available to use throughout the island.
Of course, there will be a new set of challenges to keep the players entertained throughout the season.
Several Issues Resolved
Sure enough, there are also bug fixes that come with Fortnite patch 13.30.
In the mobile version of the game, Epic Games has fixed the problem wherein players' names are cut off in the voice chat tab on the social menu, according to Gamepur's list.
For the Battle Royale, the developers fixed the following issues:
- Floating Rings are not visible on platforms when the settings are lowered.
- Gliding is not working correctly around The Authority.
- Supply Drops are not opening in The Authority when searched.
- Black rectangles appear behind a player's character when turning around in a Storm.
Meanwhile, there are also a couple of resolved issues on Save the World mode:
- Ammo is consumed when a weapon is picked up or dropped.
- Animation issue with Goin Constructor.
Apparently, new cosmetics will also be available with the arrival of Fortnite patch 13.30, including the skins Party MVP, Galaxy Scout, Barracuda, Shore Leave, and more. Leaker @Lucas7yoshi has posted the leaked skins on Twitter and the back blings that will also be available with the new update.
