There's a new video game that has the potential to be viral in the coming weeks. Electronic Arts' latest multi-player shooting game called 'Rocket Arena' will set foot on Tuesday, July 14. Some say it looks like 'Super Smash Bros,' but most say it copies Fortnite-- calling it the Fortnite 2. Here's how to play Rocket Arena.
Introducing the 'Fortnite 2'
Rocket Arena only has a particular feature on the game. You can't die. That means every player has no deaths or loss of progress when your life bar exceeds to a minimum.
As explained by the lead designer himself Gregg Metzler, the game's origin is created based on experience.
"I remember hearing a comment: 'I really like playing your game, but I just keep dying. The design that came out of that was, well what if we made a game where no one dies?" he said.
Though there's no dying on the game, you can still be removed out of bounds. Once a player aims at the enemy by shooting, it doesn't injure them, and it will only force them to fly out of the ring-- this is where its also compared with 'Super Smash Bros.'
How much it costs?
Since Rocket Arena is still on its launching, the price of the game is near expensive compared to other less-popular shooting games out there. It has a baseline price of $29.99.
"We're listening to the audience that we have now, and as we go live, we're going to continue to listen to the audience," said Kerr. "Once we can get people into that gameplay, we feel pretty confident they're gonna love it, and hopefully, we can build a great community out of it."
