Pokemon GO Throwback Challenge 2020 Guide: The Final Set of Challenges are Here

The final week for the Pokemon GO Throwback Challenge 2020 is finally here, and this time, players will be able to capture some Galarian Pokemon for the first time since Pokemon Sword and Shield launched.

Final Week of Pokemon GO Throwback Challenge 2020

According to Polygon, the final week of the Throwback Challenge 2020 will run from June 3 to 8. Players will have plenty of time to finish the sets of missions that will reward them with several items, and Pokemon encounters where they'll be able to capture some never-before-seen Pokemon in the mobile AR game.

For example, Pokemon GO players can capture the Galarian forms of Stunfisk, Darumaka, Zigzagoon, and Meowth as they will spawn more frequently and will hatch on seven-kilometer eggs that you will get during the event.

Their original counterparts will be appearing more often as well.

Besides Pokemon Sword and Shield Galarian Pokemon, players will also see more Pokemon from the Unova region, and players can evolve them without special items.

Although there was previously a Galarian Weezing that appeared as a Tier 4 Raid Boss in Pokemon GO, this was the first time any Galar-specific monster can be captured, as noted by GamesRadar.

Special Research Tasks

In addition, those who have completed all the tasks of the previous Throwback Challenge in the last few weeks can also finish a set of tasks for Special Research. However, these will be open for quite a while, so you still have a chance to get the special rewards even if you haven't completed them during the event.

Nevertheless, you can also join the event for only $7.99 when you buy an event pass.
