Animal Crossing: New Horizons now has their first-ever season event and in keeping with the seasons, it's Easter-themed! These two DIY-related events mean that players of the video game only have from April 1-12 to collect every Bunny Day and Cherry Blossom recipe. During this time, balloons and materials will be popping up every few minutes.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bunny Day event
In the Bunny Day event, it's all about the eggs.
Being an Easter-themed event, recipes will come from different shapes and sizes. For example, whenever you see an egg-shaped balloon, it's probably a recipe. Zipper T. Bunny, who is the event's special character, will most likely give you a recipe and give you rewards if you successfully make all items that are egg-related.
You may come across Water eggs when you go fishing, or hit rocks to get Stone eggs. Some trees in the area will have at least 3 Leaf eggs for you to collect so keep an eye out for that one. Although if you chop the tree, it could also give you Tree eggs instead of just regular wood. Some villagers may also offer you some Bunny Day recipes.
All of this will be happening at once so it would be good to keep an eye out for each recipe. You could literally spend hours trying to collect all the eggs that are hidden, chasing down balloons plus doing some fishing on the side.
The event might get a little confusing so here are some of the things you need to know about the eggs:
Most of the eggs require tools so you better have materials prepared. When you're out chasing down balloons, crafting slingshots is the way to go. If you would rather buy than craft, you can do so as long as you have unlocked Nook's cranny.
You can find out more about the eggs by speaking with Zipper T. Bunny. He will reveal details of all 6 eggs but will only give out 5 tips on how to obtain them.
You can obtain Leaf eggs by shaking egg trees. Swinging your ax using the stone version could help get you Tree eggs, as well.
As for Water eggs, you can simply obtain these through fishing because Sky eggs are dropped from colored balloons using slingshots. Earth eggs, on the other hand, can be dug up with shovels. And finally, Stone eggs can be collected by just hitting rocks.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Cherry Blossom event
Another event is happening at the same time and this is the Cherry Blossom.
For recipes in this event, players can craft and collect items such as the Blossom-Viewing Lantern, Outdoor Picnic Set, Cherry-Blossom Umbrella, Cherry-Blossom Pond Stone, Cherry-Blossom Pochette, and the Cherry-Blossom Bonsai. These are just a few since the list is updated every few minutes.
All of this is certainly a lot to take in, but it is a great opportunity for people who are stuck at home looking to immerse themselves into something that's fun as it is cute.
