No Delays for PS5: Sony Interactive Entertainment Benelux's PR firm BAAS Amsterdam Confirms 2020 Release

The coming of a new console means the arrival of a new age of gaming, and due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), most sectors of the gaming industry, including games themselves, have been announcing that their launches will be delayed!

Sony Interactive Entertainment Benelux's PR firm BAAS Amsterdam as understood by LetsGoDigital, says that there is no evidence that the launch will be delayed from the target within 2020.

There have been circulating rumors that the console would be delayed

The current state of the world is quite shakey due to COVID-19. Change is evident by the growing concern of many industries, including gaming consoles, which have delayed their consoles and games. Fans of Sony's PlayStation have been waiting for the PS5 for quite a while.

The last confirmation was given in October 2019

Back in October 2019, the target release date for the console was set to be for the holidays in 2020 along with fellow console Xbox Series X which also been scheduled for the same timeframe. So far there are no existing pieces of evidence proving that the PS5 would be delayed.

PlayStation teases fans

While waiting for the launch of their console, PlayStation has had major leaks that have been just enough to keep the existence of the PS5 alive. With the series of links, many gamers are anticipating the launch. LetsGoDigital has been the source for most of the major leaks which have been fed to fans of the console.

Although no announcements, the problems with production still exist

Mentioned in the publication notes, the pandemic has still been causing a supply issue for most of the components which are used to manufacture the PS5. The struggle has been going on for many months and might even cause Sony to delay but as of now, there is no official announcement that supports their delay.

LetsGoDigital also reveals that the one and only Bonami SpelComputer Museum over in Zwolle, which is a city located in the Netherlands, is working on an Experience Zone for the PlayStation 5! According to the owner John Groeneworld, "Gamers are looking forward to the arrival of the PlayStation 5,"

Following his statement, Groenewold also stated that "Our museum will receive the PS5 as one of the first in the Netherlands." Later on, Groenwold explains how they are preparing for this event to allow visitors to experience the big and small differences between the existing PS4 and the upcoming PS5 so that they can assess for themselves which one is better.

Sony will be dropping more details soon

Fans of the PlayStation 5 are to wait for further information about the console soon. This should be the very first time Sony will talk about the PS5 since the last announcement made last October.
