The battle against the Coronavirus or Covid-19 has been shared around the world as it has finally been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization also known as WHO. A shocking video has been released by a dad explaining why Ibuprofen should not be used despite Public Health England (PHE) saying that there is no published scientific evidence which points out that Ibuprofen increases the total risk of catching Covid-19.
Dan Collins, the father of a four year old Amelia Collins reportedly gave his daughter an Ibuprofen when she was experiencing coronavirus symptoms which then aggrivated her condition! She began panting, shaking, and could not even open up her eyes before the vomiting started.
According to Dan Collins, "Anti-inflammatories (ibuprofen, cortisone ...) could aggravate the infection. If you have a fever, take paracetamol,".
Despite PHE saying one thing, French health minister says otherwise
Right after PHE has declared that Ibuprofen is not harmful, the health minister of France, Mr. Olver Veran has just sent a Tweet which translates "Taking anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen, cortisone, etc.) may be a factor in worsening the infection. If you have a fever, take paracetamol. If you are already on anti-inflammatory drugs or if in doubt, ask your doctor for advice."
The logic behind fighting the coronavirus
It is a well shared fact that came to life by several studies from around the world that the Coronavirus or Covid-19 has a small risk of infection towards people with higher immune systems. The more scientists are researching about this virus, the more the world can know more about the does and don'ts when it comes to this growing pandemic.
How does one build a high immune system?
The most natural way of building a healthy immune system is by taking care of your body and to do so, you will need to eat healthy, exercise, and participate in other things which could help build your immune system. Another way of building a healthy immune system is by fighting small diseases the natural way and steer away from anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen.

These medicines are effective to ease the pain but they do not necessarily strengthen your immune system. In fact, with the constant use of anti-inflammatories instead of naturally fighting the sickness within you, your body adapts and becomes dependent on these anti-inflammatories and instead of building a resistance to certain sicknesses which is a sign of high immune systems, your body gets weaker!
Ibuprofen is out of the picture
According to the health minister of France, using Ibuprofen to counter inflammation may lead to bigger problems further down the road when your immune system is not built properly which is why when drastic measures present themselves, the better choice would be Paracetamol. Although it is still not advised, it was found that Paracetamol is less harmful than Ibuprofen because it is able to counter the sickness without having to anti-inflammation. With the coronavirus or Covid-19 just around the corner, our immune systems should be our priority!
