[UPDATE] PlayStation Network is not down anymore! Issues have been resolved on Mar. 6, at 15:06 GMT. Many users said the network issues forced them to sign out during the game, and some of them said the network problem prevented them from using network applications such as YouTube and Netflix.

PlayStation servers are down for most users, and Playstation is already aware of the issue as per their replies to many posts in one of their Twitter accounts, namely Ask PlayStation UK.

Nobody knows the reason for the issue yet, and it seems to be affecting a large part of the user base. PlayStation's PSN network appears to be down for an indefinite time as there is still no answer to queries and is just as generic to all users who ask about the issue saying: "Hi! We are aware of the issue and are currently working on it. Please visit the following website for updates:

As they asked you to be directed to the website given above, it only shows:

Twitter has also been bombarded with questions regarding the problem and when the service will be available for use.

If you look at the PlayStation Network Outages from Down Detector, it confirms that a considerable number of people seem to be affected by this error, and it will most likely be the cause of significant frustration the longer the issue is not resolved.

Down Detector is an independent website that tracks social mentions around specific topics to help detect outages all around the globe. Pretty cool site to be sure and can be used for all sorts of things, for now, however. Its use will be to monitor problems with the PlayStation Network.

Problems started to surface around midday on social media of many players having issues with their network and thought it was an isolated incident; they were wrong. I Will update this story once there is more information as to what happened, but for now, try to stay healthy and avoid public places and remember that prevention is better than cure. Stay safe, gamers!
