Star Wars is having ANOTHER game if the bot who spotted the leak it to be believed. Project Maverick is the codename of this not so secret game anymore, and it caught fans unawares and people asking for more information about it.

How Was it Detected
The game was surprisingly caught by a bot that tracks when there are new games added to the Playstation Store. Twitter account @PSNRelease is the lucky bot we so highly speak off. It also lovingly shared a promotional image as well as the yet to be named title.
What Might The Game be About
As seen in the picture, there seem to be wing ships going straight to a Star Destroyer. By that picture alone, if you're a die-hard fan of the franchise, would know that this would be set in the events of A New Hope and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video games.

Our good friends over at Gematsu reported that the background music has also been leaked. That's not all. However, the game will include multiplayer services as well and that the game is NOT virtual reality ready, so expect to be glued to your couches and enjoy the ride.
As soon as the game was leaked, Kotaku was able to confirm that Maverick is the "smaller, more unusual project" that they reported last month and is being developed by EA Motive, a studio based in Montreal.
More Speculation
Even though the leak was only reported yesterday, the fans are already speculating that this might be a Rogue Squadron kind of video game that was released way back in Microsoft Windows and Nintendo 64 consoles back in the late 1990s. Still, you never know for sure until more leaks or info about the game begin to immerge.
Other Star Wars Games That Have Been Cancelled
Kotaku seems to be following them for quite some time now, and after a week after they reported that EA has indeed canceled another Star Wars game, it's hard to believe that this might make the cut. It indeed is a sad day for fans when Star Wars games get canceled because of known and unknown reasons.
A canceled spin-off based on Star Wars: Battlefront series codenamed Viking for 2020. Another one codenamed Orca who used the art assets from Ragtag was also canceled and to think it was worked on throughout 2018.
Not all hope is lost! Two Star Wars games are in production right now. A sequel to the wildly popular Jedi: Fallen Order and the rumored Maverick. Hopefully, more leaks to come for both games. May the force be with you.
