Last month, Microsoft started to exhibit Android on its Surface Duo devices, though they have not exposed all of the software features yet that will take part in this new dual-screen device.

A leaked video has emerged all over social media

Then a leaked video from Twitter user Walkingcat has surfaced all around social media. It unveils a preview for a certain feature for the Surface Duo that lets users moderately unfold the device and take a glimpse at the notifications that they receive. Notifications will then automatically appear on the right-hand side of the screen or display, which makes it easier for users to preview and dismiss them without having to open the device fully.

A total of two videos were posted on Twitter. The first one leaks how it is possible to take a glance and have all the important details about the device, especially when it comes to the notifications. The second one will show you how users are able to view by just scrolling up and down. When calls take place, partially opening the phone, you will already see the caller's name, picture, and of course, phone number. To accept, the user must only need to open it fully and to reject, just close the cover.

Microsoft aims to give privacy to users using this Surface Duo feature

This is pretty much different from the foldable phones that we have been getting so far. Unlike them, Microsoft has taken the safe route wherein two screens are connected with a 360-degree hinge to make sure privacy is kept.

The Surface Duo was announced in October 2019. At that time, the demo was very much limited to displays everywhere, and journalists were not allowed to interact with the said device.

Some bugs and mishaps are expected when devices are not even close to finished, so when Microsoft made a demonstration of the early Android software, some apps were unresponsive and ended up crashing during the live stream. It would not even let apps span across two displays and also became very unresponsive. Microsoft has now put up a video where applications are actually running smoothly. But it's clear as day that the device still has a lot of work to be done.

Everyone is pretty much anticipating this new Surface Duo to release soon. It would be interesting what Microsoft's take in all this new line of phones that have been coming out from different brands. Microsoft is still expected to divulge more about the Surface Duo, the company's Build developers conference in May. Also, because of this announcement, we had a glimpse of the new Windows 10X operating system and have been trying to encourage developers to get ready for when the device launches.
