Although a recent trend for lumberjack thick beards has come out and many different products are being sold to help men grow their beard faster, the long beard is not suggested anymore because of the risk that bacteria and viruses can get stuck and even cultivate faster within the beard. The problem with thick beard is more surface for viruses and bacteria to cling towards and the temperature within a man's beard is usually just enough warmth for this bacteria and viruses to reproduce healthily. Aside from a thick and long beard, unruly and thick moustaches are discouraged as well.
