Apparently, there is a newly published book available on Amazon titled App Store Confidential that offers a closer look at one of Apple's most important businesses to its readers.

An ex-Apple employee writes a book that will definitely puzzle fickle-minded readers about the mystery that surrounds the App Store.

Apple vs. German-languaged book

The German-languaged book's title may not sound intimidating to Apple, but an English translation of its description teases its readers: "But few know how the App Store works. Until now." The description goes on to insinuate questions on the baffling success of the app marketplace from starting off with merely 500 apps in 2008, to "App of the Year '' in over the following decade. The description also claims that the book contains developer do's and don'ts to keep in mind while working with the company.

Apple has sent a cease-and-desist letter in an attempt to shut down the publication of this book and you won't be able to read this book if the company succeeds in its endeavor.

About the author

Authored by Tom Sadowski, he insists in the book's first chapter that secrets or confidential workarounds of Apple will not be revealed and that all of the facts within the book can be publicly confirmed. As a former Apple executive who led the App Store for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland from 2014 until the end of 2019, Sadowski might just be the perfect source of legitimate information regarding App Store developers' do's and don'ts.

The author says if you're working on a fitness app, for example, then it better be compatible with Apple Watch if you want to have even a prayer of getting it prominently listed in the App Store.

Sadowski reveals in one of the chapters of the book, that a certain Apple marketing partnership seemed to be canceled. According to a written account by the German newspaper Handelsblatt about the published book, the reason for the failed collaboration was because females involved seemed to be showing too much skin.

The former Apple executive turned author also reveals some of the contents of private conversations and meetings with Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple had sent out a cease-and-desist letter

The successful company, Apple, had sent out a cease-and-desist letter to Sadowski and his book's publisher in an attempt to recall all books that have been published and destroy manuscripts at one. Apple has shared a statement to several media outlets that say, "all companies should have the reasonable expectation that their business practices will be kept confidential."

No matter what happens to the book and the filling from Apple to their former employee, he would definitely be a good source of information regarding one of the most successful companies out there to date.
