Bill Gates and Sinot Over Superyacht Backlash

The controversy is afoot, many articles are written about Bill Gates having owned the rights to the Sinot companies baby the "Aqua". This is false as stated on their website. We still want to share with you what you want to know about the Aqua and what it can bring to the table for future innovation.

Here is what the website posted just today to hush all the rumors and fake articles going around:

Design of This Beauty

Designed by the Dutch company called, Sinot. This yacht has been showcased last year in the Monaco Yacht Show and it inspired a great number of interest and buzz.

This beauty is all fueled by just liquified hydrogen that is stored at an extremely low temperature, stored in two 28-ton, vacuum-isolated tanks. This is at the bottom deck where the two tanks are showcased with all its glory behind glass to keep the fuel stable at -253 degrees.

The superyacht has five decks and would accommodate around 14 guests and 31 crew members in total. It would, of course, come with a massive indoor health and wellness center that has a gym, hydro-massage room, and a yoga studio to fit that relaxing mood out at sea.

In line with luxury, this superyacht showcases an indoor-outdoor space to entertain guests and a formal dining area that can seat up to 14 people. The front of the yacht has a "bow observatory" that sits two people comfortably to enjoy the views over the horizon with massive windows that just tell you to come and see.

How Can it Run

Besides the massive double tanks that store the fuel, you still have to know how it runs. The liquified hydrogen is converted into electrical energy by the use of proton exchange membrane(PEM) fuel cells, with water as being the only by-product. Awesome! This beast can go at a top speed of 17 knots that is about 20 mph or 31 km/h that can travel at a distance of 3,750 nautical miles.

The tanks can split power at up to 4 MW that powers two 1 MW electric propulsion motors and two 300-kW bow thrusters for that maneuvering goodness. The superyacht contains as well a 1.5 MWh battery pack that acts as a buffer and will provide instant access to power and runs the ship's electrics, rechargeable by the fuel cells.

What's the Interior Like

Influenced mainly by Japanese interiors, it has a mini-waterfall that torrents down from the deck pool over stone steps which really is something you don't see every day really. Has also an optional helipad that can house a hydrogen-powered EVTOL that can drop-off guests.

For the exterior look and feel it is inspired by the ocean swells, highlighting a sculpted hull that is intersected by glass windows.

This truly is a remarkable piece of work and art at the same time. Pictures are not enough to give the superyacht justice but someday they might have a smaller version of this which is as efficient as using liquid hydrogen as fuel but at a more affordable cost.
