The Korean smartphone manufacturer Samsung has now released its Good Lock app to the public. This app allows the Android 10 OS of Galaxy smartphones (also from Samsung) to be customized to improve user experience.

This Good Lock version has some improvements incorporated into it, such as elements being re-arranged by the Lockstar plug-in to fit the background as well as the support provided for dark mode extending the entire system.

The Good Lock app, probably better known as Good Lock 2020, may be downloaded from the Google App Store though there may be some regions that do not have access to that.

Good Lock App Has Many Features Desired in Samsung Smartphones Carrying Android 10

Samsung is preparing to launch its new series of smartphones on February 11, 2020. These devices are known as the Samsung Galaxy S20, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus, and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. The smartphone manufacturer will also be releasing another version of the Fold 2, which will be called the Galaxy Z Flip.

Knowing this, Samsung smartphone fans may want to get the Good Lock app as well, so that their new smartphones will be customizable according to their preferences.

Among the many plug-ins of the Good Lock app are the following:

  • NavStar - permits customization of the navigation bar
  • ClockFace - allows changes to the Always On Display (or AOD)
  • Task Manager - adjusts the recent apps panel
  • QuickStar - amends the quick settings panel
  • NotiStar - logs in and allows user to see notifications for the most recent month

Every Samsung smartphone carrying Android 10 will be able to make use of the Good Lock app. This includes, but is not limited to, the following Samsung devices:

  • Galaxy S10E
  • Galaxy S10
  • Galaxy S10+
  • Note 10/10+
  • Galaxy S9
  • Galaxy S9+
  • Note 9

Android 10 Features Jazz Up Samsung Smartphones

As Samsung smartphone users know, Android 10 itself has many features that are attractive to have and use. Here is a list of some of those wonderful features:

  • Live Caption - allows audio messages, podcasts, and videos to be automatically captioned
  • Smart Reply - will notify the smartphone user of possible replies and actions to a text message
  • Sound Amplifier - permits audio to be heard more clearly with the use of headphones plugged into the Samsung smartphone
  • Gesture Navigation - follows swipes and pulls by the user as legitimate commands
  • Dark theme - initiates black background to help save battery power and provide a sharp contrast with the content on the smartphone screen

Android 10 reportedly has more features that keep the data privacy of Samsung users intact. For one, the privacy settings have been organized in one location to make these easy to find. For another, users may be able to choose how long certain data should be stored within the phone.

Disclosure of user location is also guarded so that prying eyes won't be able to find out. Features like these complement the Good Lock app and make owning a Samsung smartphone that much more appealing.
