All hands on deck, PoGo players!
Niantic recently announced details of the first Pokemon GO's Community Day of 2020, and we are all excited to hear great news along with this announcement.
Pokemon GO Community Day 2020 on Jan. 19 (For Three Hours Only)!
One of these is that the said event is only a few days left scheduled exactly on Jan. 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. If you are currently living in southern hemisphere countries, the event will happen on Sunday, Jan.19, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
As usual, Community Day is only scheduled for three hours, so make sure you'll make it count.
No worries, though, you will surely be interested in joining the event as Niantic now announced the featured Pokemon on January's Community Day 2020, the water-type Pokemon Piplup.
Throughout the event, Piplup will be opened to be caught more often on the wild and even on gym raids compared to normal PoGo days.
If you're lucky, you might even have the chance to catch the shinier version of Piplup that is also available to be caught on the said event.
How To Add More Powers To Your Piplup
Make sure to pack your bags with all of your necessities once Community Day is on and hunt all you can for straight three hours by spinning tons of PokeStops and receiving Eggs that may hatch unto Piplup.
Once you got your own Piplup, make sure to evolve it unto Prinplup, then hatch unto Empoleon during the event or after two hours once Community Day starts, and you may receive a secret attack skill that your Empoleon Pokemon cannot normally learn overtime.
Sadly, Niantic has not yet announced the said skill on their website, but it is surely worthy of trying.
Pokemon GO also assures its users that everyone that will attend the event will catch something special since Lure Modules-- an item that can attract wild Pokemon to appear near it-- will last for a longer time for three hours.
Another reminder is that Eggs on Community Day 2020 will require one-quarter the usual Hatch Distance when placed in Incubators during the event.
Hatchathon Event, Legendary Pokemon Heatran, and More Are Still Available for Pokemon GO!
If you are not interested in taking the heat of catching Piplup around the corner with other PoGo players, there are still other game competitions that you can freely join on Pokemon GO.
Some of these are the much-awaited Hatchathon event-- which lets PoGo players earn extra Stardust, Rare Candies, and other surprising rewards until Jan. 16, the return of Legendary Pokemon Heatran to gym raids and a new batch of exciting and challenging Field Research Quests that once successful may allow you to unlock special rewards such as encountering Rare Pokemon on the field.
For other Pokemon GO events, players can easily search on Pokemon GO's website and be updated on what comes next for this new year.
