Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack has been adding interesting characters to the arena since this October. This month, Joker will be the newest addition. Here's everything you need to know about the Clown Prince of Crime.

No Joking Around

As Joker has not been officially released for the game yet, we don't know what his fighting style will be like. Even the teaser trailer released during The Game Awards featuring Joker talking to Cassie Cage in Harley Quinn costume didn't give us nary a glimpse of Joker's movesets.

However, we have older games as a reference, as the Joker has a lot of fighting experience under his belt. Not really a hand-to-hand combat specialist, Joker utilizes tricky tools to his advantage during fights. He's usually equipped with comical tools like oversized boxing gloves or marionette jack-bombs-in-a-boxes.

Joker also makes use of green gases to immobilize his opponents, something we see in previous games The Joker was in, like in the Injustice series.

Players who want to main Joker would have to know that he doesn't like his opponents getting too near to him. That's why players will have to familiarize themselves with the Joker's tools and tricks to help them keep their opponents at bay.

As for the Joker's fatalities, you'll only need to hear what series creator Ed Boon tweet to know what's to come: "Just watched an early pass at Joker's Fatal Blow..... Day-um!"

Whatever Ed Boon has seen must have been really satisfying to watch for him to react that way. We just have to wait and see until the Joker is released before we know for ourselves.

Keeping Good Company

The Joker is the fourth character to be released within Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack 1. After Joker's release on Jan. 28, the Kombat Pack 1 will have one more character to be released. That last character is Spawn, which is due to be out on Mar. 17.

All in all, six characters will be released under the first Kombat Pack. The first four characters The Terminator, Sindel, Nightwolf, and Shang Tsung have already been released within 2019.

Meanwhile, players can now order the Kombat Pack 2 season pass to reserve themselves the next four DLC characters in Mortal Kombat 11. These characters are horror icon Leatherface, the Xenomorph from Alien, Bo' Rai Cho, and Triborg the Cyber Ninja.

Those who have previously bought Mortal Kombat XL don't have to buy the Kombat Packs separately.

This won't be the first time that Joker will be shedding blood and shedding skin with these Mortal Kombat foes. He first appeared in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (2008) for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Although it took him quite some time to make a comeback, don't expect Joker to be rusty in fights.

Joker will be released as a DLC playable character on Jan. 28. Kombat Pack 1 owners will get to play as the Clown Prince of Crime one week earlier.
