Less than a week after we bid farewell to 2019, the Pokémon GO Team is already cooking bigger and bolder surprises for fans and Trainers. On Jan. 2 (Thursday), the team behind the hit augmented reality video game welcomed the new decade with a bang by bringing back the Adventure Sync Hatchathon Event.

The Adventure Sync Hatchathon Event Is Back

Attention, Trainers! The egg-citing Adventure Sync Hatchathon is back! From Jan. 2 to Jan. 16, ready those Incubators for plenty of rewards and bonuses from the Pokémon GO Team. During the special two-week event, Trainers can catch extra Stardust, Rare Candies, and a Unova Stone.

The event is also a great time to find party hat-wearing Pokémon, such as Wurmple and Wobbuffet, which are making their very first appearance. Pichu and Pikachu, with party hats, will also return for the event. Here's the full list of features, bonuses, and avatar items straight from their website:

Features

  • You might be able to hatch a Pichu or Wurmple wearing a party hat from a 2 km Egg.
  • You'll have the chance to hatch Pichu wearing party hats from 7 km Eggs.
  • In two-star raids, you'll have the chance to challenge Raticate and Wobbuffet wearing party hats.
  • In the wild, Pikachu wearing party hats will be available to catch.
  • If you're lucky, you might encounter Shiny Raticate, Pikachu, Pichu, Wobbuffet, and Wurmple-all of them wearing party hats!

More Pokémon GO News

In case you missed it: the very first Pokémon GO Community Day for 2020 is happening on Jan. 19 (Sunday). The Pokémon GO Team has not released the full event details yet, but here's what we know so far.

Unlike the previous month's Community Day which lasted for two days and was deemed by many as the best yet, nothing in the January event looks out of the ordinary. On the 19th, Trainers can catch event-exclusive bonuses, such as double Stardust and XP.

In another related news, the Pokémon GO Team shared their updated Community Day times in a December blog post. The event time for those in the Northern Hemisphere will now be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in local time and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in local time for those in the Southern Hemisphere.
