Two of the most uncommon murder cases have been reported at the start of this month of 2020.

One incident was successful as the victim was saved after the said physical fight between the perpetrator, but one turned out to be a bloody murder that happened between two siblings.

What's similar to both cases? They were caught via a doorbell camera.

Do You Have a Doorbell Camera?

Doorbell cameras have been one of the most used smart home appliances that you can easily purchase from different stores in the world.

In the United States, you can easily buy doorbell cameras for as low as $100. This will provide security at your home wherein you can connect it to your mobile phones or gadgets if you wanted to check who's outside or lurking at the front of your home.

Technically, this was created for safety purposes. However, it seemed like it was also meant to be used as evidence that will unfold mysterious crime incidents that may happen along with your neighborhood.

Ring-- a doorbell company, recently allowed more than 400 police officers in the United States to have access with camera footages taken at front doors of private homes in numerous neighborhoods in the country.

In this way, police agencies will have access, whether someone suspicious is outside of anyone's homes.

Unfortunately, this cautious act of US police seemed to be recently tested not by one but two cases of murder and attempted murder on the town as they were both caught using footage from a doorbell camera.

Caught on Video Doorbell Camera

If you own a doorbell camera, you have the ability to see video footage from the device if you wanted to check whether something or someone knocked on your door while you're away.

In this case, footage from a doorbell camera alarmed most Americans as a woman was seen running towards a house--sweaty and out of breath as being chased down by a man with a white Sedan vehicle.

The woman was seen running for her life by knocking at a house, where she shouted for help.

In the same footage, the man that was chasing a woman has been identified as Darnell Rodgers, 23-years-old. He was also caught on cam forcing the woman to go with him by smacking her head on the wall and dragging her to his vehicle.

Luckily, the woman was saved after the said investigation of the police and Rodgers was charged with kidnapping and domestic violence against the unknown victim.

Killed by Her Own Brother: Suspect Confesses to Doorbell Camera

Although the woman from the first case was successfully saved by the police, another doorbell camera crime was reported recently. However, the victim from this case died after the incident.

Michael Egwuagu, a former football player at the University of Texas at San Antonio, was accused of killing his own pregnant sister, Jennifer Chioma Ebichi, by stabbing her to death on her own home.

According to the police, Egwuagu admitted to his crime on killing his sister through a doorbell camera audio footage by saying that "I killed Jennifer."
