According to Gematsu, games tracker, Gamstat confirmed the existence of the listing, as they track everything that is added to the PlayStation Store.

So far, three covers have come out, featuring well-known characters from the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Jill Valentine, who had an updated look that resembles a modern Tomb Raider, and as well as the feared Nemesis, the main antagonist of the game with a more grotesque appearance.

Gamestat has also revealed that there will be two editions available for PS4, but they are uncertain as to what the difference between the versions is.

With the leak, speculations are getting bolder, with some saying we might see an announcement from Capcom soon.

An Announcement Soon?

Forbes also said that it is likely we will see the full trailer and the studio's official announcement for the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis during next week's Game Awards, seeing as it would fit well during the event.

Speculations about the game itself are also going out, including how the gameplay will be compared to the successful Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Capcom may have made the Nemesis Remake with the same engine as Resident Evil 2 Remake, meaning we might get something that is close to the original game as possible, but with less clunky combat gameplay.

New Character Design

However, if we're to look at the leaked cover arts, we're going to see some upgrades when it comes to character design.

For one, Carlos seems to have aged well from the original Nemesis game, especially with the addition of the beard and losing the floppy hair.

Jill Valentine, one of the most famous game characters of all time, also sports a different look.

Nemesis, on the other hand, looks more hideous than the original game—if that was even possible—with VG247 specifically focusing on the character's nose, which definitely made the beast look even more terrifying.

The little addition also reminds us that Nemesis was once a human and was turned into the ultimate weapon by Umbrella Corporation.

Project Resistance

Meanwhile, Gamestat has also revealed that the cover art for Project Resistance has also been uploaded on the PlayStation Store, with its final and official game title: Resident Evil: Resistance.

Capcom added fuel to the fire when it comes to speculations about Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, most especially as they have teased fans previously with art featuring Jill Valentine, with Nemesis on the background.

While that wasn't enough to start the rumors, YouTube channel Spawn Wave has revealed that he was aware of the project last month, as per PCGamer.

As of now, everything is still a rumor, and Capcom has not officially announced if there is indeed a Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Remake, and when it will come out, so take this with a grain of salt.

Nonetheless, if it is indeed true, it is possible we will hear from the company soon.
