Square Enix has released a new trailer for the much-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake, featuring its main protagonist, Cloud Strife—the most famous of all characters in the Final Fantasy franchise up to date.
The Cloud-centric Teaser Trailer
The trailer was rather short and didn't reveal much—just 20 seconds filled with Cloud on cutscenes including him, as well as his gameplay.
According to Comicbook, it appears like Square Enix will be doing the same thing featuring other major Final Fantasy VII Remake characters, including Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Sephiroth, and more.
We even had a glimpse of the One-Winged antagonist on Cloud's teaser trailer.
Furthermore, the studio has also released wallpapers and avatars featuring the blond hero with his iconic weapon—the Buster sword.
The wallpapers and avatars are available to download via Square Enix's official website for Final Fantasy VII Remake, while the trailer can be watched below:
It seems like the Cloud-centric trailer will be the first of its kind, and we will see more trailers and promotional teasers and wallpapers, especially since Final Fantasy VII Remake will be launching soon.
There is still no word as to when the other teaser trailers will be launched, but it won't be surprising to see them dropped over the next few weeks as the launch date is drawing nearer.
Multiple Parts
The Remake will be launched in multiple parts, with each part having enough hours and gameplay for a full-length game.
With that, fans won't feel as though the production was cut short.
Additionally, Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura has also confirmed that the studio is now working on the second part—meaning fans won't have to wait longer for the second part of the Remake.
"We've already begun working on the next one as well, but I'm confident that playing through this title will expand your expectations just like the world that extends beyond Midgar," Nomura wrote in an official blog post.
New Bosses Coming
Besides the teaser trailer featuring Cloud, Final Fantasy VII developers have also teased new bosses in the Remake.
On the same blog post, Nomura has also revealed that they have added several other big bosses throughout the game, meaning the infamous M.O.T.O.R. big boss may not be the final enemy players have to face.
Nonetheless, we can't expect any other additional characters besides the new bosses—but we can assure that every other beloved character from the original will make an appearance, including Vincent Valentine, Reno, and of course, the Chocobos and Moogles.
More Square Enix Releases
Besides Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has more releases coming soon, including Kingdom Hearts 3 DLCs and Marvel's Avengers.
Based on a report by the Daily Express, Square Enix will be releasing the ReMind DLC, which is the next major expansion for the game.
