Mortal Kombat 11 fans around the world have been eagerly awaiting Sindel's release since last August when she was first teased in the Kombat Pack along with other returning characters like Shang Tsung and Nightwolf. Finally, her gameplay may be revealed today, should all go well, as NeatherRealm Studios' Creative Director and Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon teased on Twitter.
The tweet also seems to feature one of Sindel's post-win animations in which she is seen carrying her Kwan Dao, seen previously in Mortal Kombat Deception and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. A follow-up tweet from Ed Boon also features her pre-fight interaction and banter with Cassie Cage, the Shinnok Slayer.
While the teasers don't reveal quite enough, failing to show any of her actual combat abilities, don't fret as more information will be coming as soon as later today, and the Edenian Queen Sindel herself will be available to play on Nov. 26. The Edenian Queen, a mainstay of the Mortal Kombat series since Mortal Kombat 3, is expected to utilize her Kwan Dao as well as her iconic sonic attacks.
Sindel will be joining the Mortal Kombat X as the fourth of six characters from the previously mentioned Kombat Pack, with two more to follow in 2020. On January 28, 2020, DC Comics' Clown Prince of Crime Joker will be bringing chaos to the Mortal Kombat cast, with Todd MacFarlane's Spawn to complete the Kombat Pack lineup on March 17, 2020, although a surprise character may find ITs way into the arena as well.
The introduction of Pennywise, the clown, will not be the first time NeatherRealm Studios breaks the fourth wall, should they do so. Pennywise will simply be one of many horror icons to join the Mortal Kombat arena, following Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Alien from Alien, Predator from Predator, and many more non-horror icons. Notable of these other icons is Terminator T-800, a movie character played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and already present in the game from the same Kombat Pack.
Mortal Kombat 11 is playable today on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms. Mortal Kombat 11 is also slated to be released along with Red Dead Redemption 2, Tomb Raider games, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and many more titles as part of Google Stadia's upcoming launch on Nov. 19.
