Samsung has rolled out the Galaxy Fold Premier Service in the United States.
As its name suggests, the program is geared toward owners of the foldable phone in question who might need some repair and other forms of support.
24/7 Assistance For The Galaxy Fold
The South Korean company posted a new support page that details the Galaxy Fold Premier Service.
According to it, the Galaxy Fold Concierge lets users phone in and get "on-demand support from a dedicated team" via a hotline that's available 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
In addition, they can also get help through video chat in the Samsung Members App, which is preloaded on the phone. This service is operational from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET.
Samsung is also providing onboarding and tutorials in person so that new owners of the Galaxy Fold can get accustomed to their devices and know their ins and outs. On top of that, it's offering users same-day screen replacement for $149. These are available in certain locations where a representative will cater to customers. Those who are looking to have their devices' displays repaired can opt for an expedited mail-in service as well.
A Huge Help
Samsung's offering is just what users need because the Galaxy Fold is a bit fragile, after all, though "a bit" is somewhat of an understatement. That goes double for butterfingered owners as well.
A recent durability test found that the foldable phone can't survive a drop, and it didn't matter which screen it landed on either. That's no surprise, though. The smartphone maker did pack the revised version of the Galaxy Fold with a ton of warning labels and such, and it even asked users not to tap too hard on the screen.
To sum things up, the Galaxy Fold Premier Service will without a doubt come in handy for users, since the foldable phone isn't exactly the sturdiest device out there.
