A new file upload on Nintendo's United Kingdom website may have revealed more info on the next DLC character coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.
If the info spotted there is anything to go by, then the upcoming fighter could be from one of SNK's many franchises.
Next 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' DLC Character
As the Twitter user PushDustin discovered, the Challenge Pack 4 page, which Nintendo has already taken down, includes a copyright from SNK Corporation at the bottom. Fortunately, the eagle-eyed user managed to save screenshots before the page got removed.
According to the details, there's one new fighter, one new stage, and several new music tracks in store and the expected release date is on Feb. 29, 2020.
To boil things down, this is likely the biggest clue that the next DLC character of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be from SNK, but it's still up in the air regarding exactly who it is.
Potential Fighters?
For those who don't know, SNK has churned out fighting and arcade games since time immemorial. It's known for titles such as Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown, King of Fighters, and Fatal Fury, to name a few.
At that, the next character could be someone like Haohmaru, Terry Bogard, or maybe even Marco Rossi from Metal Slug.
Still, nothing is set in stone just yet. As a Reddit user points out, this leak of sorts could just be a mix-up, explaining that the fourth DLC character for SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy has the same trademark and file size as the one for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which is 4.19 MB.
