Super-Sized iPhone Pro Will Reportedly Be Part Of Apple’s 2019 Lineup

New iPhones are expected to drop in the fall of 2019, but few details have been revealed about the lineup.

Three different models are supposed to be launched soon and a reliable source has leaked the name of one of them.

Meet The New iPhone Pro

According to MacRumors, the anonymous Twitter account CoinX spilled the beans on one of the models that will be called iPhone 11 Pro.

This specific account has leaked a number of accurate details about Apple products in the past year, such as the names of iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. CoinX also correctly predicted the loss of the headphone jack on the iPad Pro models in 2018.

The news outlet revealed that it also received a similar tip on Sunday, Aug. 4. While the tip was unsubstantiated at the time, it noted that it's worth mentioning now given the leak from the reliable Twitter account.

"The square camera iPhone will be called the iPhone 11 Pro. This is fact," the anonymous tipster reportedly said.

Apart from the iPhone 11 Pro, the company's smartphone lineup could include an iPhone 11 and iPhone 11R. Some of the features rumored to be part of the phones are triple-lens camera systems, bigger batteries, and two-way Airpod charging, among others.

The mobile phones could consist of two high-end models, one with a 5.8-inch OLED screen and another with a 6.5-inch OLED screen. A final one is expected to be on the lower-end side with a 6.1-inch LCD screen.

More Rumors On iPhone Lineup

9to5Mac reported that TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will release iPhones with the Touch ID fingerprint once again within a year or two. According to the analyst, the company will be launching a new iPhone fitted with both Face ID and under-display Touch ID fingerprint biometrics.

While Kuo says that he thinks the two technological features are complementary, there are several design challenges that Apple has to get through for an under-the-screen fingerprint sensor. These challenges include power consumption, sensor size, and others.

By 2021, Kuo believes these issues would have been addressed enough for Apple to release a new phone with both facial and fingerprint sensors. He predicted that the company is likely to feature a variant of Qualcomm's fingerprint-under-display system. This technology allows smartphone users to scan their fingerprints over a large portion of the screen.
