The New Year is poised to start on a happy note for those that have subscribed to the Xbox Live Gold program. Why? Because Microsoft has revealed that it will be giving members some free Games with Gold titles on Xbox One and Xbox 360.
On Monday, Dec. 22, Microsoft revealed that come January, subscribers on its Xbox Live Gold program will strike lucky as the company will be giving members three new games for free.
So in case you're wondering what these three games are, we'll ease the suspense - "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die," "MX vs. ATV Alive" and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings." Two games are for the Xbox 360, but Xbox One users need not despair as Microsoft has one for them as well.
The "D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die" usually costs $14.99, but the subscribers to the program will be able to download the game free of charge post Jan. 1, 2015. This game is compatible with Xbox One and will be available between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31.
Xbox 360 users has the "MX vs. ATV Live" up for grabs from Jan.1 to Jan. 15. The download is again free of charge for subscribers to the program. Else the game costs $19.99.
Xbox 360 users who are Xbox Live Gold members can also download "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" for free. However, this game is available post mid-month i.e. between Jan. 16 to Jan. 31. The game is normally priced at $29.99 a pop.
Members of the program worldwide - where Xbox Live is available - can avail of this offer in 2015. However, some regions may get different titles depending on their availability.
"Titles are available as free downloads for a limited time, for qualifying paid Xbox Live Gold members in all markets where Xbox Live is available. Some regions may offer different titles depending on market availability," disclaims Microsoft.
