ASUS has kicked off its campaign of promoting 2014 International CES hardware announcements with a teaser video that suggests the Taiwanese company may unveil a dual-boot hybrid tablet at the event.
The video, titled "Green or Blue? One or Two?" shows the Statue of Liberty holding a mysterious tablet that changes from blue to green and back again. Guesses are being made that the mysterious tablet might be a dual-boot device running both Windows and Android. Probably Green depicting Android and Blue depicting Windows.
The concept of dual booting is not a new thing to ASUS. With devices like Transformer AiO and the Transformer Book Trio, in the past, company has already hinted at the dual-booting possibility.
However, dual-boot devices are yet to prove their popularity. For unknown reasons Samsung's Ativ Q laptop/tablet hybrid that also boasted of dual-boot feature, never went on sale. So it will be interesting to see how ASUS pulls it off.
The company will be live-streaming its press event at 2014 International CES that will take place on January 6 at 12pm in Las Vegas.
A second video is also on its way that might provide more details about the new tablet.
