A partnership with the National Football League (NFL) marks a great opportunity for Rovio to promote its upcoming film, Angry Birds 2, set to hit theaters in Sept. 2019.

'Angry Birds Evolution' Brings A New Bird, Called The Quarterback
Angry Birds Evolution Super Bowl LII in-game events features a new bird, called the 'Quarterback,' ready to destroy NFL characters. In addition, Angry Birds Evolution player vs. player mode (The Oinktagon), allows users to go head-to-head with their competition in a stadium just like the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Angry Birds 2 Super Bowl LII event not only introduces a new NFL theme but 32 new yellow angry birds. There's also a new Hatchery rule: Once a bird on the team has been hatched, it won't show up again, says Rovio. This makes it much easier to "hatch the next ones."

Angry Birds 2 and Angry Birds Evolution updates will be available on the App Store and Google Play starting tomorrow, Jan. 24th, and runs until Super Bowl Sunday, which kicks off on Feb. 4, 2018.
