Monster Hunter World is just a few days away until gamers get to lay their hands on it. Capcom, the game's publisher, shares interesting information about the title.
The hype for the game recently jumped up as Famitsu, a Japanese gaming magazine, published its review scores for the action role-playing game, which was a 39 out of 40. While the game has a big following in Japan, its strict gameplay and its complicated system have pushed casual payers away. However, the developer reportedly made some adjustments that make it appealing even to newbies.
Now, the publisher reveals its plans to bring guest characters from other titles like World of Warcraft, which is interesting given their Horizon: Zero Dawn DLC slated to drop later.
Aloy Joins The Hunt
Capcom explains that the collaboration with Horizon: Zero Dawn will bring the female protagonist Aloy's armor over to Monster Hunter World. Players can gather all of her armor, upgrade Palicoes with a skin that makes them look mechanical, and even look like her via a makeover.
The crossover became reality when Guerilla Games and Sony were contacted by Ryozo Tsujimoto, who expressed his interest to bring the character over to his game. He noted that the iconic bow and arrow wielded by the heroine apparently makes her fit to be a hunter.
Both sides talked and revealed their admiration for each other's respective work. Everyone reached an agreement and finally got a crossover in the books.
More Guests In The Future
Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn might just be the first of many future guest appearances in Monster Hunter World. Kaname Fujioka and Yuya Tokuda, directors of the action RPG, also shared which characters they want to feature in their game.
"We would love to see Arsus from World of Warcraft and Lich King from The Wrath of the Lich King, but that is just a personal opinion, don't take it as confirmation. We just love the characters," said the duo.
Besides characters from different franchises, the two were asked if they plan to bring monsters from other titles. Unfortunately, it does not seem likely, according to the directors.
The Blue Bomber
Joining Aloy is another one of Capcom's recognizable heroes, Mega Man. The character will join the player as another skin for the Palicoes.
Monster Hunter World will release for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on Jan. 26. On the other hand, its PC version was confirmed to be moved to autumn 2018. Despite several of its titles being published for Nintendo, the upcoming game will not have a Switch port available.
