Assassin's Creed Origins 'The Hidden Ones' DLC Q&A Reveals Release Date And More Details

Ubisoft has confirmed that the first DLC for Assassin's Creed Origins will touch down next week and to be followed by another expansion in March 2018.

The game title add-ons will be known as "The Hidden Ones" and "The Curse of the Pharaohs," respectively. According to the game studio, getting the first DLC will cost gamers $10 while the setback for the latter will amount to $20.

As always the case, season pass holders will have access to the upcoming contents totally free of charge.

"On January 23, we will release the first expansion for Assassin's Creed Origins. In The Hidden Ones, Bayek and his newly formed Assassins clash with Roman forces in a brand-new region, the Sinaï," Ubisoft announced via the Q&A published on its official site.

The release will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One gamers.

Important Things To Know

"The Hidden Ones" will increase the length of the Origins gameplay by a few more hours as developers included new stories, extra quest, and other events. New and exciting items are also packed with the DLC, headlined by two new legendary weapons, a fresh outfit, two new mounts, and several more weapons to add a new texture to the game.

As mentioned by Ubisoft, the first DLC will pick up where the main event of the game had left off four years back. Players will have to contend with the massive occupying army sent by the Roman Empire. Specifically for Bayek, the DLC will bump up the level cap to 45.

As for the second DLC, the release date of which was set on March 6, the level cap will leap to 45. In this expansion, the core storyline is for players to erase the curse that caused the reanimation of dead pharaohs, which explains the DLC title. The mission will pit players with mythical Egyptian creatures to possibly reverse the deadly spell.

Bonus Contents And Patch

Ubisoft has also indicated that the Origins will be getting a new mode that will be known as "Discovery Tour," which is an in-between release that will be rolling out on Feb. 20. The additional mode is designed mainly for players that will want to find out more about Egypt for an extra cost of $20.

Now prior to all these expansions, a patch for the Assassin's Creed Origins has been deployed. When installed, players will experience notable gameplay improvements such as the ability to sell back outfits. The same patch will also see better behavior on the game's already tamed animals.
