Beer. Comics. They just go together, right? Comic book legends Jason Aaron and Tony Moore seem to think so, because they've partnered with Arcade Brewery to create a unique zombie-western comic that is told across a six-pack of beer.
Yes, you read that correctly. A six-pack of beer, except where normally there would be a label and all that other boring junk, there is instead a zombie-filled comic from Aaron, the writer of Thor, and Moore, the co-creator and original artist of The Walking Dead. Each bottle tells a part of the tale and, taken together, completes a story. In this case, it's the tale of Festus Rotgut: Zombie Cowboy. These will be beer bottles worth keeping, though you might have trouble keeping them in your usual bag and board.
This first "6-Pack Story" debuts on Wednesday. But the comic is just half of the package. After all, it does come attached to six bottles of beer. What does the beer taste like?
"Since there are zombies, I immediately thought something dark," co-founder Chris Tourre says in a statement. "Driving a heard of cattle across the dusty landscape also made me immediately go to a dry wheat beer."
Arcade Brewery will be selling a limited supply of the beer across six locations in Chicago, where the brewery is based. It will also be available via select online retailers. You can learn more about Arcade Brewery by checking out their site.
