PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, the massively popular multiplayer shooter that broke Steam records, is finally coming to the Xbox One, with the game's controls and specific release dates and times revealed.
The full release of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on the PC is coming on Dec. 20 alongside the new desert map named Miramar. However, the game's arrival to the Xbox One is a big deal because it might be what the console needs to better challenge industry leader PlayStation 4 and the currently dominant Nintendo Switch.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Xbox One Controls
In an Xbox Wire post, Microsoft detailed the control scheme for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds on the Xbox One. Developer PUBG Corp. worked with the Xbox Advanced Technology Group and Gears of War developer The Coalition in laying out the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Xbox One controls.
On the PC, players have to memorize various keys and combinations to perform the multitude of actions available in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. One of the main concerns in the release of the game to the Xbox One is how well the controls will be translated, but it appears that the developers did a good job.
The developers separated the controls into six modes, namely Basic, Aim, Vehicle, Swim, Map, and Inventory. The buttons of the Xbox One controller perform different actions depending on the context of the situation. For example, pressing the X button while on Basic mode, which is the primary control scheme, will allow the player to interact with objects, while holding it down will reload the player's weapon. However, while on the Inventory screen, pressing X will pick up an item and holding X will set the amount of the item to be picked up.
The controls look complicated at first, but Xbox One gamers should get the hang of it after a while. The question now is how the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds mobile controls will be.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Release Date And Time

For the United States, the specific start date and time of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds for the Xbox One is on Dec. 11, 9:00 p.m. PT, or Dec. 12, 5:00 a.m. UTC.
