This Was Instagram's Most Popular Hashtag of 2014

If you swiped through your Instagram profile right now, you would probably have a nice walk down memory lane. Just look at all the selfies, food porn and hyperlapse videos you took during 2014. What a year it's been.

Because you used Instagram so much this year, you probably included "#Love" in at least one of your photo captions. That was the most popular hashtag used on the photo sharing app in 2014, according to TheWrap. Awww isn't that nice? I'm just glad it wasn't "#YOLO." Hopefully, we can finally retire that hashtag.

And that's not all we learned about our lives on Instagram this year. The most-liked photo on the app was of none other than Kim Kardashian and Kanye West kissing during their May 24 wedding ceremony. The image has gotten the seal of approval from 2.4 million users and is the most-liked photo in Instagram's four-year history.

A selfie of Justin Bieber and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez was the second most-liked photo on Instagram this year with 1.9 million likes. If only Bieber could get this much attention on Shots of Me, the selfie sharing app he has invested in.

Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus grabbed the third spot with a photo of them embracing backstage at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.

You've also probably seen these places a bunch in your friends' Instagram photos. The top three locations were Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and Times Square in New York. The top three museums documented on Instagram were the Louvre in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Metropolitan Museum, also in New York. Being a tourist means you have to document every second of your trip for the world to see after all.
