The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is apparently not the only high-profile Bethesda title coming to the Nintendo Switch, as a leaked listing hints that Fallout 4 is also coming to the hybrid console.
Bethesda is finally launching a Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition this month for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If the rumors are true, then Nintendo Switch owners will also be able to get their hands on the post-apocalyptic open-world RPG.
'Fallout 4' For Nintendo Switch Rumors
The rumors of a Fallout 4 Nintendo Switch version started with a discovery at El Corte Inglés, a Spanish retail website, where Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition was listed under the Nintendo Switch category.
The listing was online for a few hours before being taken down. The listing was said to have contained a price of €34.90, or about $41, and a Sept. 26 release date before it was removed.
It is not uncommon for retailers to slip up and post listings that they eventually take down. The question, however, is whether the listing was wrong, or it was posted early and Fallout 4 for the Nintendo Switch is really happening.
Is 'Fallout 4' Really Coming To The Nintendo Switch?
The appearance of a Fallout 4 listing for the Nintendo Switch on a foreign website will understandably draw criticism, especially as there have been no hints that the RPG will be coming to the hybrid console.
Fallout 4 is an older game, and Bethesda's success in porting a Skyrim Nintendo Switch version should make the possibility of Fallout 4 for the hybrid console look more plausible.
However, Fallout 4 is much newer than Skyrim, and it is unclear if the Nintendo Switch has enough power to actually run the RPG, especially in portable mode. In addition, if the Nintendo Switch version was planned to be released later this month, Bethesda would have made an official announcement by now.
It seems that Fallout 4 fans will simply have to wait for official confirmation from Bethesda on the matter.
Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games
In addition to Skyrim and allegedly Fallout 4, Nintendo Switch players are looking forward to a host of upcoming games to the hybrid console.
Nintendo Switch gamers will soon receive a plethora of independent games, as well as possibly Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition. The open-world Super Mario Odyssey, however, remains as the most anticipated game that will be launched for the Nintendo Switch this year.
