Jared Leto says "I've sworn to keep my mouth shut" About Being Cast as The Joker in Suicide Squad

Rumors have been circling for quite some time that claims Jared Leto is The Joker in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. It is not completely certain that he is, but from all indication, the actor is involved somehow with the film as he refuses to give a straight answer when questioned.

The actor was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter about his return to acting and his band, 30 Seconds to Mars. The actor had taken a break from acting to focus on his band for a time, but he returned and won several awards for his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club,' a 2013 movie.

He's clearly back in the acting ring, and obviously, studios are going to circle him like vultures to get him on the latest project.

The big question is, did Warner Bros. hire him for The Joker role in the 2016 Suicide Squad movie? Well, The Hollywood Reporter made attempts to get answers out of Leto, but he refused to give fans what they want to hear.

"I've sworn to keep my mouth shut," Leto said.

Is that enough to convince folks that Jared Leto is The Joker in Suicide Squad? Nope, it is not, but it is enough to convince us that he is in talks with Warner Bros., and chances are the two parties have yet to come to a formal deal.

We should definitely know more by 2015 when filming begins. By then, Warner Bros. should announce the cast and which character they are playing. So far, rumors have it that Will Smith is in talks to land the role of Boomerang while Jai Courtney could turn out to be Deadshot.

On the other hand, Margot Robbie is rumored to become Harley Quinn, that crazy psycho lover of The Joker. We heard that Tom Hardy is also in the queue for a role in the film, but we are not certain which DC character he'll play this time around.

Fans should know that Suicide Squad will be a central part of the DC Cinematic Universe as Jessie Eisenberg is expected to his reprise his role as Lex Luthor.
