To anyone looking to pick up some gadgets and gizmos as gifts to give to loved ones or themselves for the holidays, it's worth checking out Best Buy for a number of great bargains.
Best Buy just published a massive 47-page online ad detailing all the cheap deals customers can get come Black Friday. While an entire array of electronics ranging from MacBooks to headphones to games will be offered with incredible price drops, Best Buy offers a number of truly impressive deals topping off all the offers from other retail stores including Wal-Mart and Newegg.
Starting 5:00 P.M. local time on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, buyers can get an amazing price drop on the 50-inch Panasonic high-definition LED TV for only $199. That is a full 75 percent of its regular price of $549 and beats out the $235 that Target offers for a 48-inch Westinghouse 1080p LED TV. The only catch is anyone wanting to snatch up this set will have to brave the crowds at the Best Buy store as it won't be available online.
This is the biggest deal on a name-brand TV one can get this Black Friday, but for those who are looking beyond the 50-inch dimension, Best Buy cuts a full $100 off from the 65-inch LG HDTV. Its $799 price tag is admittedly a whole lot bigger than the 50-inch deal, but it's LG and it is the best price so far on a high-definition LED TV of its size.
Rounding out its trio of Black Friday TV deals is the 55-inch Samsung 4K Smart TV sold for $899, a sweet $400 taken off its regular price of $1,399, making it the cheapest Samsung 4K TV set ever made available. Plus, buyers interested in grabbing a 4K television can buy this doorbuster online.
Another Samsung product to watch out for at Best Buy this Friday is the Samsung Galaxy S5, available for the whopping price of $1. The dust and water-resistant smartphone comes with a full HD 5.1-inch screen and 16-megapixel camera. However, buyers should take note that buying the former Samsung flagship at Best Buy for a buck locks them into a two-year contract with Verizon, AT&T or Sprint where they have to pay the same fees to their carrier as they would when buying the phone at its regular price.
For those looking to get a new computer for the holidays, there are two options from Best Buy. The first is a considerably cheaper $299 touchscreen Dell Inspiron down from $399, although anyone looking for better specs might not be happy with the Core i3 processor and the 500GB HDD on the Windows PC. Those who want a Mac can get the 11.6-inch MacBook Air with Haswell Core i5 processor. The Mac is significantly dearer at $779, but it slashes down the regular price by $120. Best Buy is also cutting off a full $100 from all iPad Air 2 versions, with the starting price for the 16GB version dropping to $399.
Speaking of tablets, Best Buy also dishes out a pretty good deal on the quad-core Android KitKat Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro for $199 and $399 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S, although Sears offers a similar $399 deal on the latter along with a $20 gift card. Microsoft's Surface 2 running on an NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with 2GB of RAM also gets a $150 discount and will be selling for $299 at Best Buy this Friday.
For the geeky homeowner, a learning thermostat from Nest will only cost $199 at Best Buy. That's a good $50 off the regular selling price of $249. Pebble smartwatches will also go on sale for $79 for the Pebble original and $179 for the Pebble Steel.
Best Buy starts selling all these and more starting 5 P.M. on Nov. 27. Tickets will be distributed up to two hours before the sale. No rain checks will be accepted.
