HTC is making its top devices more affordable in the United States, offering the HTC 10, HTC U Ultra, HTC Bolt and HTC One A9 at significant discounts.
Samsung may be ruling the smartphone market on the Android front, but HTC never gave up hope and keeps trying to make a comeback.
HTC was once among the top smartphone makers and its One M8 was likely the best handset it ever made, but in recent years it has significantly fallen behind rivals and its latest smartphones didn't exactly fly off store shelves.
The latest discounts could notably boost HTC smartphone sales, as HTC US is offering select handsets at up to $300 off as part of a "Spring is Sprung" promotion. The price cuts are part of a limited-time deal set to expire on April 23, so here's what you need to know to take advantage of this promotion while it still lasts.
HTC Smartphone Discounts: 'Spring Is Sprung'
The highest discount of $300 applies to the HTC One A9, which is now more affordable than ever. The handset did not cost a fortune to begin with, but it's now available at just $199.
The more recent HTC U Ultra, meanwhile, gets a more modest discount of $150, which is still a pretty great deal. After the price cut, the HTC U Ultra now costs $599 in the United States, directly from HTC.
The HTC 10 gets a $200 price cut, available now at $499. It's not the latest HTC flagship anymore, but it does sport a sleek design and it still packs a punch.
Lastly, the HTC Bolt gets a discount of $150, bringing the price down to $450. For that price, customers will also get an original clear case bundled with the smartphone.
This attractive promotion is available only for customers in the United States and HTC makes no mention of whether it will offer similar deals in other markets as well.
The HTC U Ultra is the most recent and most powerful smartphone among these discounted handsets, and it's the company's current flagship smartphone. As a reminder, the U Ultra made its debut early this year rocking a 5.7-inch display with a QHD resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor and 4 GB of RAM, among the highlights. The HTC U Ultra didn't really get the raving reviews the company was likely hoping for, but it's a powerful smartphone nonetheless and it's as sleek as it is huge.
Otherwise, the HTC 10, HTC Bolt and HTC One A9 that are also part of this promotion should deliver a solid performance as well and the new prices after the discounts make them more attractive.
Remember that this promotional offer is only good until April 23, which means that interested customers have less than a week to grab their preferred HTC smartphone at a substantially lower price.
