In a year-end roundups blog post, Instagram said that the most-liked photo of the year was from the singer Justin Bieber that has received over 1.5 million likes.
The photo posted in August, featured the pop sensation with Men In Black actor Will Smith outside a house. "Me and uncle Will," a post read.
Justin Bieber beat other famous Instagram users such as Oprah Winfrey and Taylor Swift. Bieber has around 12 million followers on Instagram and has shared 1,168 posts till date.
The blog post also revealed various other patterns about 55 million photos that were posted everyday on Instagram. New York was declared the most 'Instagrammed' city, while the most popular location was The Siam Paragon shopping mall and leisure complex in Bangkok, Thailand.
The second most geo-tagged location among Instagram users was Times Square in New York City, also referred as 'The Centre of The Universe' or 'The Crossroads of the World'.
#Love was declared the most popular hashtag of the year, getting mentioned in 371 million posts. Other top hashtags of 2013 were #selfie, #food, #tbt, #friends and #fashion.
After the Instagram update released recently, the ever-growing community of 150 million users at Instagram can also share snapshots with specific friends and followers without having to make them public.
