As we get closer to the holidays, it's time to start singing those classic Christmas tunes. Too soon? Frozen star Kristen Bell doesn't think so. Bell and the a cappella group Straight No Chaser just released a funny Christmas song about something we can all relate to: Texting.
"Text Me Merry Christmas" is a catchy, merry little tune that will surely bring some cheer. The video fittingly features Bell's lyrics popping up as text messages as she sings about texting Merry Christmas.
"So please remember this December to fully charge your phone," Bell sings. "And text me Merry Christmas. Let me know you care."
The upbeat and sarcastic song has the missing-you-this-Christmas Mariah Carey feel combined with the pop perfection of an N'SYNC Christmas hit.
The song includes lines about emojis, eludes to sexting, and has "small talk" texting banter.
"A Facebook message isn't quite as sweet," Bell sings. "I need more from @you than just a tweet."
Bell and Straight No Chaser show off their singing abilities and their humor in a Christmas song that will sure be a hit among Millennials.
