Gotham sure isn't wasting any time trotting out one Batman villain after another.
We just recently got to watch Victor Zsasz debut in a shocking duel with Jim Gordon, and next on the docket is Harvey Dent. You may know him better by his bad guy handle: Two-Face. Of course, this being Gotham, don't expect to see Two-Face show up anytime soon. But you might get a faint glimpse of the rage buried beneath Dent's composed surface.
At this point in time, Harvey Dent is a district attorney who seems to genuinely want to do the right thing. Such people are few and far between in Gotham City, so it doesn't take Gordon long to see Dent as a potential ally. Their alliance will have lasting consequences; Dent is expected to stick around on the show for a while.
Fox has released a new clip from the episode in question, appropriately titled "Harvey Dent," where the lawyer (played by Nicholas D'Agosto) and Detective Jim Gordon first meet.
As you can see, Harvey already has his famous two-headed coin, which matches up with some versions of DC Comics canon. In others, the coin originally belongs to mobster Sal Maroni as a good luck charm. In that version, Dent takes the coin from him after their fateful courtroom encounter where Maroni throws acid at the side of Dent's face, ultimately transforming him into Two-Face. Dent later scars the coin with a knife so that it matches his face, and makes all of his major decisions by flipping it.
"Harvey Dent" debuts Monday, November 17, 2014 at 8:00 PM EST.
