The highly anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update is continuously rolling out into devices across the globe. The distribution of the Nougat itself was a little slower than users in the US were hoping for, though, and even more so for those in Canada.
If you're having problems with your newly updated Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, know that you're not alone and more importantly, that there are solutions to the small little problems that bug you about the new update.
Here are five of the more common Android 7.0 Nougat problems for the S7 and S7 edge, and how you could fix them:
Battery Drain
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge with the Android 7.0 Nougat have complained of unusual battery drains since their device's update. This is actually common for newly updated devices as it is still getting used to the new update, and even more so with the hefty Android 7.0 Nougat.
The problem, though, should dissipate within a few days, but if it does not, the Android 7.0 Nougat has been loaded with various features that could significantly increase your device's battery life so it may be time to play with your new update. Other usual suspects, though, are rogue apps that come with the Android system, so you'll want to hunt those down and uninstall.
Sudden Reboots
Some users of the Android 7.0 Nougat have complained of sudden and random reboots of their devices after their update. This could get pretty annoying especially if you're on a busy schedule but manually restarting your device, updating your apps and clearing your device's cache could do the trick.
The Black Screen
This isn't a new problem and it could be pretty scary when this happens as your screen turns completely black and is unresponsive to any touch. You may have done this one before if you're tired of waiting for it to be responsive again, but a manual reboot by holding down the power and volume down buttons until the device restarts could actually work with this problem.
Another way would be to hold the power, home, and volume up buttons which will activate the Samsung logo and a recovery menu, and from there you will see an option to reboot the device.
Muffled Or No Sound
This is a pretty simple fix. First off, you'd have to check for any debris or anything blocking your device's speaker grille. After cleaning it up, you can try again to see if the problem is still there. If it is, you can go ahead and reboot your device.
Bluetooth Connection Problems
If you've tried shutting off your device and turning it on again and it still doesn't work, then one possible solution would be to remove the specific Bluetooth connections that are giving you problems by going to the Bluetooth settings and tapping Forget on a specific connection. After that, you can try reconnecting the device again.
