Cards Against Humanity has teamed up with developer BioWare to launch a Mass Effect-themed expansion, which will be a treat for fans of both the card game and the video game series.
The Mass Effect pack is the second branded pack that Cards Against Humanity has released, with the first one being a House of Cards pack that was released three years ago.
'Cards Against Humanity' Meets 'Mass Effect'
The Mass Effect expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity is now available online for only $1, and if the website is any indication on how funny the cards will be, then the expansion pack is surely worth buying.
In the website, the URL of which hints at one of the themes that will be featured in the expansion pack, the Cards Against Humanity team revealed that the project was launched with BioWare to try to get their hands on Mass Effect: Andromeda before its March 21 release date for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Unfortunately for them, they were not able to do so, but they went ahead with the expansion pack anyway.
There are only 14 cards in the expansion pack, but according to Cards Against Humanity director of events, emotions, and various promotions Trin Garritano, the writers initially came up with over 700 cards. Apparently, only these 14 cards were good enough, with the website playfully noting that missing cards will be sold later as DLC.
For those who do not understand the reference, the original ending of Mass Effect 3 was so bad that BioWare received massive amounts of backlash from fans of the franchise. The developer then altered and expanded the ending of the game, with the new finale eventually released to players as free DLC.
Gamers who would still like to complain about the Mass Effect 3 ending, Cards Against Humanity has got you covered, as it urges players to send in their thoughts to EntitledWhining@cardsagainsthumanity.com.

'Mass Effect: Andromeda' On Its Way
The partnership with Cards Against Humanity is a good gimmick for BioWare, as it prepares to launch Mass Effect: Andromeda in a month.
In early February, BioWare released a new trailer for the game that featured its characters, along with several alien species that players will encounter. It was later reported that Peebee, an Asari squad mate, is a romantic option for players, while a gameplay video released afterward showed how players can add skills and upgrade weapons.
