Most of the publicity surrounding Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice has been focused around Ben Affleck lately. The actor has been making his rounds while the film is shooting, making public appearances and talking about the production. A lot of the other focus has been on various set leaks and locations, with many different reveals coming out of different production teams. Surprisingly, there hasn't been much focus on Superman himself, despite the character taking up half the title.
Henry Cavill just hasn't made as many appearances. Of course, the actor has been a major part of shooting, but the media just hasn't seen as much of Cavill as they have of Affleck. That being said, now that filming has moved to Chicago, that may no longer be the case.
A local Fox News station in Chicago was able to grab some footage from the set of Batman v. Superman, and while much of the story is about street closures due to filming, the video does include a chunk of footage from the production. While most of the leaked footage so far has had to do with Batman, this is the first clear footage fans have seen showing off both Superman and Lois Lane.
Most of the story revolves around the various traffic difficulties caused by the production, but there are some good shots of Cavill hoisting Ms. Adams into his arms. Fans knew that both characters would be making a return from Man of Steel, but this is the first chance fans have seen of the two characters together. The footage isn't the first news out of Chicago, either. A series of photos made their way to Twitter almost immediately after the production moved to Chicago, and most of said photos also focus on Cavill as Superman.
Once principal photography is completed, the film moves into post-production. Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to debut on March 25, 2016.
