This coming Tuesday is a huge day for Batman fans everywhere. For years, television junkies that grew up watching Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin on ABC's 1966 Batman series have clamored for a DVD release of the show. There were times when we thought we'd never see one come to fruition.
Thankfully, those days are over come November 11 when Warner Bros. Home Entertainment does us one better and releases Batman: The Complete Series on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital HD. For the first time ever, fans will be able to enjoy Batman in stunning high-definition, fully restored and, trust me when I tell you: It's never looked this good.
Our box set arrived yesterday and, in addition to every episode of the series, there are a ton of bonus features, a Hot Wheels Batmobile replica and, quite possibly the best part, the box has a button that plays the theme song when you press it. So much nostalgic fun.
To mark the occasion, Warner Bros. just released the below clip on their YouTube page. In it, Batman himself Adam West reveals his favorite episode of the series, and even talks a bit about the famous Bat Watusi. To the Batmobile!
And if you want to know more about the box set, here's the trailer for the release:
