LG V30 Could Feature Snapdragon 835 CPU, 6 GB RAM, Dual Front And Back Cameras

Even as fans gear up to welcome the LG G6 at the MWC on Feb. 26, another smartphone from the company has caught the attention of the rumor mill.

The smartphone in question is the LG V30 - the successor of the LG V20. The next-gen smartphone, which created a buzz online in November 2016 is back in the news thanks to a new leak.

The LG V30 will reportedly house the Snapdragon 835 processor unlike its sibling, the LG G6, per a leak on Weibo. A user has shared on the Chinese microblogging site that the LG V30 will boast much better specs and features when compared to the LG V20.

LG V30: Rumored Specs And Features

The leak also reveals that in addition to housing the Snapdragon 835 processor, the LG V30 will also have 6 GB of RAM. The smartphone will apparently feature a dual camera setup. Interestingly, the dual cameras will not only be on the rear of the LG V30, but also on the front of the smartphone.

The Weibo leak also hints that the LG V30 will have a better Quad DAC technology than the LG V20. This suggests that the LG V30 will boast top-notch audio capabilities.

The leakster also revealed that the LG V20's successor will also have "more mysterious features." However, he did not shed any light on what these supposed mystery features were.

Earlier rumors have suggested that the LG V30 will not be having any secondary screen like the current-gen model. It is believed that the "ticker" may be replaced with something better as noted by leakster Evan Blass in November 2016.

Since LG is reportedly planning to surprise its fans with something new, a possibility exists that the company is looking to offer something even more improvised than the secondary display.

The predecessor LG V20 sports a dual display system which is quite unique in its own way. It has a primary 5.7-inch Quad HD display with IPS Quantum display. Fans would be optimistic that the LG V30 too possesses such improved display features.

LG V30 Price And Release

Since the LG V10 and LG V20 are considerably expensive, the LG V30 will likely follow suit. However, the expected price of the next-gen smartphone is not known at this juncture.

Those wondering about the release of the LG V30, the company will likely stick to its annual cycle and debut the smartphone in the second half of 2017.
