On Thursday, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg held his first ever public Q&A, answering users' most burning questions. The Q&A was held on a Facebook event page that was set up a week prior.
Zuckerberg answered questions submitted by users for about an hour, alongside some of the company's top executives that flew in to Facebook headquarters in California.
Zuckerberg addressed his thoughts on the messenger app. "We realize asking everyone in the community to install a new app is a big ask," he stated. But he explained the choice was made because of the abundance of fast, easy messengers already on the market. He also shared his thoughts on The Social Network movie, admitting that he hasn't thought about the film for a while. "I kind of blocked that one out," he said, also adding that the movie hurt his feelings and embellished many things.
Other topics addressed were Zuckerberg's "cool" factor and why he wears the same grey t-shirt every day. More serious topics like Facebook's role in fighting against Ebola were also touched on.
While Zuckerberg did have a lot to say, there are still many questions that remain. Here are the top questions we wished Zuckerberg would have addressed.
What was your drink of choice back when you were coding for Facemash?
How did you learn Mandarin so fast?
Is a dislike button ever coming to Facebook?
How much time are you on Facebook for personal purposes each day?
When you aren't using Facebook, what is your app of choice?
