Samsung Sends Press Invites For Its MWC 2017 Event, Galaxy Tab S3 Launch Inching Closer

There may be cause for celebration for Samsung users as the company is gearing up for its press event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, which will be held in Barcelona on Feb. 26.

Samsung has sent out a press invite for its impending event, where the company will be showing off a gamut of new devices that may include the much-awaited Galaxy Tab S3.

The Samsung press invite for the MWC reveals that the event will start at 7PM CET on Feb. 26. The press invite show off a black backdrop and the outline of what is believed to be the Galaxy Tab S3.

The invite basically mentions that Samsung would conduct a press conference and it also details the date and time of the event. However, it does not showcase the actual product which would be launched. This is unusual considering that Samsung always like to tease its new product in their press invites.

Normally, people would expect the company to release its new flagship phone during the MWC which in this case would be the Samsung Galaxy S8, the successor of the Galaxy S7. However, Samsung recently confirmed that the release of the Galaxy S8 would be delayed as it does not want to repeat the debacle that ensued after the release of the Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Rumored Specs

The Galaxy Tab S3 from the company is the successor of the Galaxy Tab S2 and has already received FCC and Wi-Fi certifications. The device was also benchmarked by GFXBench in January, offering a peek onto the specs and features of the impending tablet.

According to the listing, the tablet will feature a 9.6-inch FHD display (2048 x 1536) along with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which will clock at 2.1 GHz.

The device may also offer 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage capacity. It is also speculated to have a Qualcomm Adreno 530 GPU.

As for the camera, the Galaxy Tab S3 is believed to have a 12MP rear camera with FHD video recording and a 5MP selfie camera of 5MP, which would also be capable of FHD video recording. The primary camera may also support autofocus, face detection, flash and touch focus.

The Galaxy Tab S3 will likely come preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.

Release

The release of the Galaxy Tab S3 would be a welcome one for millions of Samsung tablet users who have been waiting eagerly for a high end alternative to the Galaxy Tab S2 which was released in 2015. Now all that remains to be seen is whether this tablet from Samsung would be able to match the high quality standards which users have become accustomed to when it supposedly debuts on Feb. 26.
