Gamers can look forward to some exciting times as there is some good news headed their way.
The popular RPG title Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas will be released for the Nintendo Switch pretty soon.
The news has been confirmed by FDG Entertainment, the game's publisher, who responded to a query on Twitter on the title's availability for the Nintendo Switch.
It was in 2016 that FDG Entertainment declared that the game had notched up the magical 1 million sales milestone. Rumors were rife that the game was coming to a Nintendo console, which has now been confirmed with the publishers finally revealing that the game would be functioning "beautifully on the powerful Switch."
When Will It Release?
While the publisher has not confirmed any date of release yet, rumors are rife that Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas will be released sometime in 2017. The Nintendo Switch is scheduled to hit the shelves by March 3, with Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in tow.
Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas takes inspiration from the playbook for Legend of Zelda, courtesy of its puzzle-rich gameplay and the Wind Waker-type world.
For the uninitiated, Oceanhorn is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A PlayStation Vita version is also reportedly on the way.
In fact, FDG Entertainment tweeted a snapshot of the game function on the PlayStation Vita — Sony's portable console in September 2016.
"Thank you all for voting to port Oceanhorn to PS Vita," FDG Entertainment tweeted at the time.
Modifications To Oceanhorn
In August 2016, the developers announced a sequel — Oceanhorn: Knights of the Lost Realm.
The sequel also went through its own set of modifications, given that it does not have the top-down kind of game perspective like the first installment.
Oceanhorn: Knights of the Lost Realm deploys a third-person camera perspective.
The Oceanhorn series also includes one of many references to Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda, based on the nature of the gameplay and a few other technicalities.
The game developers had earlier referred to the game as a "carefully crafted love letter" that included classic action adventure titles, which has stark influences not only to Zelda, but to the Final Fantasy and Seiken Densetsu as well.
