Nintendo Switch: Games Confirmed Include 'Project Sonic 17,' 'Dragon Quest XI,' 'Splatoon 2,' 'Lego City Undercover' And More

Amid several speculations, Nintendo has successfully come up with the Nintendo Switch, codenamed the Nintendo NX.

Gaming enthusiasts feel that it is an innovative take on video game hardware which arrives with multiple play modes and offers the option to output a video and audio signal to the television system.

What Is Bundled Within The System?

Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console that can be played both at home and while on the move. It comes with two Joy-Con controllers that can be attached to the tablet and a dock that can be used when playing on a television.

This video game comes with three play modes. The Handheld Mode that attaches Joy-Con to the base unit; the TV Mode, which connects the system to a television through a dock; and the Tabletop Mode, which utilizes the built-in stand so that the screen can be displayed upright at any position.

In certain cases, the Joy-Con can be detached from the controllers to activate the game to the multiplayer option.

Release Date And Confirmed Games

According to reports, the Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3, 2017. Nintendo confirmed this news in one of its interviews during its live stream presentation.

One of the titles that will be making its debut on the console is The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. This new entry in the series is an attempt made by Nintendo to introduce open world mechanics to the modern franchise.

Nintendo will also release an array of a la carte controllers and accessories. Additional Joy-Con and Pro controllers will cost $80 and $70, respectively.

The company has promised that a multi-city tour will be provided for players so that they can try out the new console. These events will provide the players with a hands-on opportunity with the console prior to its launch.

The Nintendo Switch also went up for preorder on Jan. 13 and can be procured from Walmart, Target, Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy for $299.99. However, its availability is in flux. It's best to be always on the lookout to place a preorder.
