LG Launches LG Stylus 3 As Affordable Galaxy Note Alternative And Updated Mid-Range K Series Ahead Of CES 2017

LG is gearing up for CES 2017 in January and has just announced new mid-tier smartphones it will be showing off at the trade show. The Stylus 3 includes a 5.7-inch display and enhanced stylus, while the updated K series come with screen sizes ranging from 4.5 inches to 5.3 inches.

CES kicks off on Jan. 5 and runs through Jan. 8, 2017, and you can bet that there will be a few smartphone announcements from some of the biggest players in the game. LG has decided that it plans on getting a head start over rivals and has just officially announced several smartphones that will launch during CES 2017.

"Our 2017 mass-tier, mid-range smartphones focus on giving our customers a wide variety of options and choices for their smartphone lifestyles," said Juno Cho, president of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "What's consistent in all our K Series and Stylus 3 devices is that they look and feel premium, offer replaceable batteries and all come with expandable memory slots, what customers consider key factors when buying smartphones in this category."

LG Stylus 3 Is LG's Answer To A Budget Samsung Galaxy Note

LG has announced its answer to Samsung's Galaxy Note experience in budget form with its new LG Stylus 3, which boasts a 5.7-inch 720p display and features an enhanced stylus with 1.8mm tip the company claims gives "the feel and feedback of an actual pen when writing on the screen," and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor. The phablet includes 16 GB of internal storage, microSD expansion slot and 3 GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities consist of a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing shooter. It also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner and runs Android 7.0 Nougat.

LG K3, K4, K8 And K10 Mid-Range Smartphones With Some Flagship Features

LG has also updated its K series smartphone lineup, which originally launched earlier this year at CES 2016. The new LG K3 is an entry-level handset and will include a 4.5-inch 480 x 854 display and Snapdragon 210 chip. It packs in 8 GB of internal storage, microSD expansion slot and 1 GB of RAM. The K3 comes equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front facing camera, and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The LG K4 packs in a 5-inch 480 x 854 display, Snapdragon 210 processor and 1 GB of RAM. It includes 8 GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot, 5-megapixel front and rear cameras and runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The LG K8 features a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 425 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. It will ship with 16 GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front facing shooter and run Android 7.0 Nougat.

The LG K10 boasts a 5.3-inch 720p screen, 1.5 GHz octa-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The handset will include 16 GB or 32 GB of internal storage, a microSD expansion slot and a fingerprint scanner. The K10 will pack in a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front facing snapper and run Android 7.0 Nougat.

LG will be showing off the LG Stylus 3, LG K10, K8, K4 and K3 at CES 2017 in Las Vegas and will be making announcements in the next few weeks on when the smartphones will be released.
