Xbox One Elite Controller Becomes More Customizable Thanks To Scuf Accessories: Grip Handles, Thumbsticks, And Many Others

When Xbox released its Elite Wireless Controller in 2015, it has opened the peripheral to a host of customization options for those gamers who want to personalize their devices. Xbox gamers would probably remember this device as the Xbox One Elite Controller way back.

Now, Xbox has showcased this last Dec. 19 when it announced a new array of accessories created by SCUF exclusively for the Xbox wireless controller.

Elite Customization Program

This is perhaps the best illustration of how the Xbox wireless controller customization could be taken to new heights. SCUF calls this a dedicated program, allowing fans to build their very own controller.

"Designed in collaboration with pro-level players, the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller unlocks your full potential and adapts to your unique style of play," Xbox stated. "Experience game-changing accuracy, faster speed, and a tailored feel unlike anything before."

Gamers will get the kit for $149.95 and it includes the controller and a host of accessories such as buttons, thumbsticks, trim and grip handles, among others.

The mods come in different design and color variations, so in tandem with the nuts and bolts included in the kit, the breadth of possible combinations is quite remarkable indeed. If you want more bundled peripherals, you will have to shell more money.

Paddle Control System & Directional Bias D-pad Kit

Another Elite kit bundles the paddle control system and directional bias D-pad. This retails for $39.95 and will allow users to outfit their controller with the Paddle Hatch System and interchangeable D-pad. Both can be attached to the controller's battery door.

These mechanisms can provide enhanced and more comfortable gameplay due to the fact that they are built to suit the user's natural hand placement.

Xbox Controller And Precision Gaming

During competitive gameplay, seemingly minor details could make all the difference in winning. This should be the rationale behind a gamer's decision to purchase the SCUF's precision kit. For the price, he gets to take home textured thumbsticks and rubberized grip system.

Both are made from military-grade rubber with the intention of ensuring that no thumb or grip movement ever escapes the controller. The thumbsticks also come in different sizes for both the domed and concave sets so that you won't have any problems navigating the controls if you have small or large digits.

All the products on offer were results of the partnership between SCUFF and Microsoft, which began in June 2015. The wireless controller has been a popular device since especially for pro gamers, competing with the PlayStation 4 controllers called Razer Raiju and Nacon Revolution. In the better part of the holiday season last year, the device has consistently been sold out. Last November, it posted a 46-percent sales increase year-over-year.

The wireless controller is also getting bundled with other items for the Xbox holiday deals this year.
