While waiting for new updates such as the VR streaming feature coming this December, Xbox fans can still elevate their gaming experience to an all-new level with a humongous Xbox One controller that primarily serves as a table for your living or gaming room.
Giant Xbox One Controller
The furniture has been announced by WoodCurve, a highly recommended seller at Etsy. The coffee table, which is claimed to be handmade, is designed by Scott Blackwell, a South Carolina artist.
If WoodCurve sounds familiar to the gaming community, particularly those who are into interior design pursuits as well, that is because the company was also responsible for the PlayStation 3 table that debuted back in 2015.
Controller Design Specs
Needless to say, the Xbox One controller table should appeal to the aesthetic sensibilities of the gaming crowd out there. But here are some crucial details you need to know before ordering the furniture.
First, it has a 39-inch width, a 26-inch depth and stands 26.5 inches high. It is also quite heavy, weighing a solid 100 pounds. These figures should be important as your space might be too cramped the table ends up compromising your overall game in the process.
In terms of design, it is, obviously, futuristic. But key design elements served to highlight this theme effectively. It is propped up by a set of thin steel legs and you can choose whether you want it in zinc plate or some other color. The exposed giant buttons are covered by quality vinyl decals if you are worried about the impact of daily abuse.
According to Blackwell, it is his most complex design to date and this variable is reflected in the pricing as the table retails for $1,199. The custom tempered glass is excluded in that pricing.
Unfortunately for interested parties living abroad, the table only ships in the United States and Canada.
NES Controller Has A Table, Too
Aside from the tempered glass table top, it also provides additional storage functions for your gaming peripherals.
Fans of other consoles should not feel left out as there are products at Etsy that also cater to their specific gaming preferences. Aside from the previously mentioned PlayStation controller coffee table, there is also a remarkably accurate Nintendo Entertainment System controller table that is being sold for $3,500. It has roughly the same size but with a shorter height.
One should note that the NES table is fully functional, which means you can use it to play any NES game. It should suit some rumored plans being hatched at Nintendo anchored on nostalgia. The table could be an excellent heirloom that can survive generations.
